As we continue our pursuit of excellence in residential architecture and interior design, we are seeking a Principal Architect who combines exceptional design with strong leadership, strategic management and delivery oversight.

The Role

In this role, you will help contribute to the conception, development, delivery and design excellence of projects. You will work closely with Rob Mills, Louy Bell Head of Interiors, Clement Cheng and the broader RMA team to help shape and deliver projects, ensuring the highest standards of design quality, client experience and project delivery are consistently achieved.

Your responsibilities will span a diverse range of creative and practical functions, including engaging directly with clients and contributing to the progress of multiple projects across various stages of design and delivery. The role requires a dynamic and creative architect who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses the confidence, initiative, and leadership capabilities to contribute to the creation and curation of exceptional luxury residences. You will bring design leadership, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of the RMA ethos to every aspect of your work, helping to deliver projects of enduring quality and significance.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Proficiency in Revit & ENSCAPE and a willingness to develop both your creative and technical capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Victorian and NSW planning codes and BCA / NCC regulations
  • Exceptional creative instinct and a refined design eye, with the confidence to contribute original ideas and bespoke design outcomes.
  • Experience working on high-end residential projects and an appreciation for timeless design, quality craftsmanship, and meticulous detailing.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. You can confidently articulate design concepts, tell the story behind your ideas, and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • A genuine passion and deep for the architecture and interior design elements that transform a residence.
  • Experience or a strong interest in crafting and curating bespoke, high-end residences.
  • A growth mindset, embracing feedback, new challenges, and opportunities to continuously evolve as a designer.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance creativity with project execution across multiple projects from initial concept to completion.
  • A collaborative and positive approach, contributing to a studio culture built on creativity, respect, and shared success.
