The home of a true gentleman, Kenley Court takes inspiration from Italian Renaissance architecture to recreate a corner of Italy in Melbourne. An imposing Loggia façade approached through a formal, tree-lined landscape recalling classic European courtyards sets the tone.
The Classical Portfolio
At Goulburn Valley, young owners were rewarded for their bravery. Convention dictated they extend their classic country homestead at the rear and mimic its existing style.
Eschewing convention, they commissioned a contemporary, transparent, open plan kitchen / dining / living area alongside the original home, capturing panoramic views over the plains that would otherwise have been lost and achieving what every client seeks: great design on shoestring budget.
Wellington St, Kew
A harmonious union of past and present, where shared building materials and palettes create a seamless transition between a heritage home and contemporary pavilion. A contemporary addition to the rear of the Victorian Villa incorporates the original building’s proportions, completing a family home.
Built on Portsea’s clifftops by an American who imbued it with the spirit of Rhode Island, Ilyuka is the ultimate symbol of wealth in Australia. Invited to inject it with new energy, we refreshed its original elements and created a kitchen / entertainment complex capable of serving a country estate this grand.
The carefully considered restoration fits seamlessly with the original design, retaining this iconic home’s true essence.
An address in one of Melbourne’s great boulevards deserves a majestic home. Stripped back then bestowed with theatrical new pavilions and fabulous interiors well beyond the imagination of the original building, it doubled in value within a year, highlighting the value of great property.
We would like to credit the late

decoration of this project.
